Summary
“I was brushing my teeth and saw how crooked the cabinets were—I wanted to fix the hinges real quick, that’s all. Promise.”
“I think you were doing a lot more than that, Eddie,” Buck laughed under his breath, rubbing his temple as he tried to calm himself down after getting up so fast. “You’re usually so quiet at night, you freaked me out.”
Eddie, frowning, realized the weight of his actions and maneuvered his body to come in front of Buck. He carefully lifted Buck’s face in his hands and gazed into the ocean eyes that could easily swallow him whole. “M’sorry about that, darling. Things have been… bugging me more lately, that’s all.”
“I read online that…” Buck drawled at the same time Eddie chuckled in disbelief, “…you’re nesting.”
“Nesting?” Eddie blinked, tugging the corner of his lips into a small smirk.
“Yeah,” Buck gently lowered Eddie’s arms. He gestured to the bathroom once more, but this time, with an obvious scan of a simple, nonjudgmental stare. He met Eddie’s brown eyes again with a pointed look. “Nesting.”
OR: 5 times Eddie experienced nesting before Buck had their twins, and 1 time he didn't have to.

Summary
“Mom?” Simon asked, blinking innocently.
Chimney turned his head back to Simon. “Uh, no. Maddie is Jee-Yun’s mom. We’re talking about your dad, who shouldn’t be called Buck. Right?”
He pointed to Buck in the photo once more, ready to try again — even though, realistically, he didn’t need to.
Simon smiled large, mimicking Chimney’s pointing. “Mom!”
Chimney’s faced dropped with the heavy realization of what he accidentally just did.
Shit.
“Simon, that’s not your mom, that’s—”
“No, that’s mama!” Simon leaned forward, wanting to get closer to the photo as he challenged the words Chimney uttered. Chimney made a face and disagreed by shaking his head, then pulled them away from the cabinet immediately, instantly regretting getting his nose into business that wasn’t his. He didn’t know why he bothered, really. Chimney set Simon down, ushering him to go in the kitchen and dining room area. He put one hand on his hip and the other over his mouth, unsure what to make of what just happened.
Buck would kill him. Probably.
OR: How Chimney mistakingly solved Buck's problem, yet somehow made it worse.

Summary
It must’ve rode up after he pointed the whisk, and up until now, Eddie hadn’t even realized Buck wasn’t wearing an apron — which was definitely weird. Buck always wore one as he baked or cooked. Eddie had to force his gaze away from the tiny, yet very evident round appearance of his boyfriend’s stomach.
Buck returned to his glaze making, oblivious to Eddie’s stares, which Eddie continued on doing, completely baffled. With a recoil from him mentally slapping himself, Eddie forced his brain to quit overthinking — he was being cruel, right? Buck had been struggling with weight, who was Eddie to deliberately notice it in a way that felt…presumptuous. There was nothing Eddie could do but shake the thoughts out of his head and return to the stubborn bills awaiting him. Buck had been steady — fighting back the rewrites his brain and body seemed to permit. Sure, it had been challenging to keep track of the cravings, mood swings, and the physical changes Buck swore was happening—
“Oh shit,” Eddie verbally said, face dropping.
Buck was pregnant.
OR: After a few challenging days, Eddie realizes something about Buck, and unfortunately, doesn't have the heart to tell him.

Summary
Buck bit his lip and cast his look aside.
Maddie caught it.
“What are you not telling me?” her voice steady.
The omega gulped and felt sweat collect at the nape of his neck. Slowly, the truth fumbled out. “If I do not succeed in finding a husband in these upcoming months, I am promised to Lord Kinard. Father has made it so.”
OR: Though young and hidden at the sweet age of twenty, Buck Buckley has nothing but failed attempts when it comes to the social season under his belt as one of the only omegas in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Running out of time, there's one more chance to secure a legitimate match before his father revokes his freedom and arranges a marriage with the deceitful Tommy Kinard. With the perfect chance to find his bachelor falling on the upcoming Tulip Ball and his sister’s help, Buck sets his eyes on the Duke of El Paso – who unbeknownst to Buck, is a widowed alpha harnessing no real desire for remarriage after his wife died.

Summary
“Lost, little rabbit?”
From between two towering firs, a man emerged. He was tall, with the powerful, lean build of someone who lived by the strength of his own hands. His skin was a warm bronze, his hair dark and tousled. But his eyes… they held a lupine gold, catching the last of the fading light.
“I-I’m not a rabbit,” Buck stammered, pulling his hood tighter.
The man laughed. “Aren’t you? I can see the twitch. Smell the fear. It’s sweet.” He took a step closer, and Buck caught the scent of pine, earth, layered with something wild and predatory. “I’m Eddie. Where are you going, bunny?”
Or, the big bad wolf sniffed out a little bunny in the woods.

Summary
The doctors call it a miracle. Maddie calls it a recovery.
To Buck, it just feels like being tired.
But Eddie is there, steady and grounding, with his quiet commands and his warm hands. Eddie knows when Buck needs to rest. Eddie knows which plates are easier to hold, which clothes are softer against surgical scars, and exactly how to cut an apple so that everything feels... simpler.
It starts with a weighted plush toy to stop the nightmares. It moves to a hand-fed snack to save his energy. It’s a slow graze of nails against a scalp until Buck doesn't even remember how to make a decision for himself—and he doesn't want to.
