After Ivan’s death, he had years to think back to their interactions, to analyze every last detail of his intent.
That was the only logical conclusion, right? That Ivan had loved him?
And – he had loved Ivan, too. The realization had hit him way too late, years after Ivan’s death when he finally had a moment alone with his thoughts.
Ivan’s eyes bored into him, emptiness shifting into something more scorching, searching. “Memories grow sweeter with time,” he hummed. “Even if that is true, we should leave it behind, shouldn’t we?”

“Tell me something I don't know, you jackass,” Till practically growls. Patience has never been one of his virtues, after all.
For his sake, Ivan chooses to cut the formalities short.“Well,” he says then, “I don’t think you’ve noticed you have a human right here.”
Because Ivan is a terrible friend first and a man without any sense of self-preservation second, he ends up pinned on the floor with Till's canines stuck in his neck.
