  Liu Sang was not born to be a fighter. But he was born to be a pilot. Killing kaiju might be a fact of life, but operating a jaeger—that is his life.
  And that’s why when they reach the command center and a voice rings out, loud and clear, “Liu Sang? You’ve got to be fucking kidding me, there’s no way I’m getting in a jaeger with that asshole,” he doesn’t immediately turn around and walk away.
