Summary
Yuuji had turned his fingers into cursed objects, and he decided to live on as a curse.
Why exactly?
Simple: He wanted to help more people with the powers he had been gifted.
The people in his life would've wanted him to live on to the fullest, but considering he was immortal and couldn't age, that was going to take a loooooooong time.
So with a final goodbye to his remaining friends, Itadori initiated a ritual and put his soul into ten distinctive fingers, which he instructed to be put in shrines across Japan. His body was buried with respect, and Itadori walked away from the life he knew while his perception went dark for eons.
Then, a boy in 3018 stumbled upon the ruins of the modern world and found a small box that had the finger labeled in a language no longer recognized, and out of curiosity about the contents, the boy ate it.
And all of a sudden, a second voice spoke within the depths of his mind, kind and comforting in contrast to who the boy was in his past life.
"Hey...nice to meet you."
And the boy started to remember.

I have so many thoughts about this holy shit
first off, YUJI AND CHOSO GOD choso being there for yuji no matter what and supporting him, I love how choso is pretty overprotective, but he still gives yuji room, unless choso feels he must step in. their bond makes me SICKK, yuji and choso love each other so much yuji would have been so much worse off if choso wasn't there God CHOSO REFUSING TO LEAVE YUJI'S SIDE AUGH AUGH THE SCENE AT THE END WITH THE TWO EMBRACING EACH OTHER GOD THE SIBLINGS EVER the guilt yuji has for killing eso and kechizu previously NO YUJI DONT BLAME YOURSELF AUGH THE SCENE WHERE WASUKE CALLS CHOSO FAMILY and and CHOSO STARTS CRYING FUCK
don't even get me started on gojo and geto God, I love how at first their relationship was very rocky prior to yuji and choso appearing, and in yuji fanshion, he brings these two blurbos together (literally), they have to acknowledge each other and GOJO YOUR NOT SLICK WITH YOUR BLUSHING I CAUGHT YOUR GAY ASS RIGHT THEN AND THERE, I love how their relationship slowly and steadily is repaired as the story progresses, ALMOST slow burn but guh GUH they care for each other whether or not they are separated. the scene where geto leaves jujutsu tech puts this into perspective so well, gojo panicking at the fact he may lose geto , and he's so fearful of that that he end offers to leave with him, despite knowing he's needed for change within the jujutsu society and schools. these boy's love each other so deeply it makes me SICK. DONT THINK I FORGOT ABOUT SHOKO. God God GOD these trio guys really care for each other, shoko shoko my girl you deserve better classmates, she doesn't want to see anyone dying or hurt especially her friends God i could only imagine how she felt about haibara;s death fuckkkkk
HAIBARA AND NAMANI LORDDDD they are so megumi and yuji coded holy shit, namani's reserved introverted nature clashing with haibara's outgoing sun shine personality, namani begrudgingly caring for haibara and haibara looking out for namani AUGHHH and his sacrifice so namani could live dude STOP THIS STOP IT haibara is gen just yuji in another font, haibara is such a great friend and he loves his friends NAMANI TOO even if he doesn't show it with words much, his actions speak louder then any words he could use, he's so protective of the ones he cares about AUGHH the scene where he hugged yuji even if he didn't know what to do just spoke out to me so loudly he's wants to comfort yuji even if he's unsure what to do and I find that to be such a green flag fuck fuck fuck FUCK FUCKKKKKKK
this was such a good fic I'm sad its finished but I am so glad to have read it through in its entirety, I recommend this fic so much if you're looking for yuji&choso sibling bonding and namani&haibara&shoko&satoru&suguru (yuji&choso too) also satosugu too fuck fuck fuck FUCK the characterizations are so well, especially with yuji's guilt and reaction to haibara's death it puts all of their perspectives into execution so well it truly feels faithful (and expanding) into the character personalities
10/10 please read this if anyone reads this long ass bookmark its so so so so worth it

Absolutely, supremely, inexplicably fucked.
Genuinely, totally, super-duper fucked.
Super fucked.
Because standing in the very not-destroyed, dense streets of Shibuya, lined with the bright colors of department stores, hotels, tourist attractions, and advertisements plastered across every available space, Yuuji did not have Choso as support. He didn't have Fushiguro as support. He didn't even have Okkotsu as support.
Yuuji was inconceivably, utmostly, wholly, not-awesomely fucked because he was in the year 2005.
🔴 OR: Stuck over a decade in the past, Yuuji has resolved to do anything to ensure his future doesn't come to be.
It would really be a lot easier if Geto Suguru wasn't so overbearing, if Gojo Satoru wasn't such an asshole, if Ieiri Shoko stopped instigating things, and if Yuuji were just a tiny bit smarter.
But he was on his own, so damn it if he wasn't going to work with what he got.

A situation that left Sukuna in a rather precarious position… particularly given his knowledge of what was to come.
