For as long as he can remember, Seokjin has been alone in his life. However, he enjoys the loneliness and doesn't mind having no one by his side. But being alone might have been the worst thing that ever happened to him, especially after his mother specifically requested that he invite his friends to her home to celebrate his birthday.
Just then, a dimpled handsome stranger came to his rescue and volunteered to pretend to be his friend.
"I lied to her about people coming over. I don’t want to disappoint her, but I think I will later since her effort will be in vain. With no guests, the food she prepared will go to waste, and she will be more concerned about me for not having friends in the past....” He trailed off and counted the years in his head. "Decade, I suppose."
"I..." he heard the guy next to him cut off his own words before continuing, "... I can pretend to be your friend to avoid disappointing your mother."

Seokjin noticed his hands most of everything. He flailed them around a lot, almost hitting a poor old lady on the face while they were on their way to get ice cream. He had marked tan lines on his wrists, and pretty fingers he laced together, leaving his hands on his lap, and soft palms where he rested his chin while he listened to Jin.
