In which the world's worst power throuple go on a journey of interpersonal and extra-personal violence to conceive a child, resurrect the Nightmare King and found the Kingdom of Sylvaire: A young nation headed by ambitious rulers that started as nothing but a dream and became a world power. But there are always those who wish to tip the balance of power in their favor, and as such, the crown has no shortage of enemies across Spyre. This is Prince Riz's inheritance--a crown, a country, and a crap ton of complications, all of which are put at risk when Sylvaire is finally forced into an all-out war. It's the greatest challenge Sylvaire has faced yet, and not one it looks poised to survive.
Luckily for him, he's a Gukgak. He sees what no one else does. If he can figure out exactly what got them in this mess, then maybe he'll find a way to get them out of it.

Summary
Daniel asks Louis if he's sure when he first suggests it. He asks him again a few days later, to see if he's changed his mind. He makes a psychic collect call to Lestat, of all people, and asks if he's sure. Asks Armand if he's sure when he accepts the invitation, when they're packing, when they're on the way to the airport. When they're walking up to arrivals, Armand’s grip crushing Daniel's fingers, Louis smiling at the back of the crowd with his hands in his pockets, casual as anything, like they do this every day.
They're all sure and sure and sure, so Daniel lets Louis pull him in with one arm, Armand with the other, and hug them both while a planeful of tired New Yorkers filters out around them into the muggy bayou dark.
