Summary
This is just a very loose idea I got while doing my 50th re-watch of Bridgerton. I've played with the timeline a little bit, but this takes place at the Hastings Ball in S1E8.
Anthony sees Colin and Penelope speak after going to see Siena and having her shatter his heart, and he feels a little bad for her and has to be her sort of knight in dented armour. Shenanigans to ensue.

Penelope in many ways was more than a little broken after her friendship was left in tatters with the two people who meant the most to her, and the state of her family grew more and more dire. Anthony after a failed courtship and the embarrassment caused to his family, was more than a little broken. Maybe underneath the secrets and deception, they can find a place to be broken together. After all, misery loves company.
*This is not a Colin/Pen fic, though I do love them* Events are a little jumbled for story sake. At this point Jack is around still, Edwina and Kate left after Edwina called off the wedding, and Penelope is printing LW with Gen's help. I am heartbroken with how they handled Polin. I hope this soothes some of us 🩵🩵
