Her soft, small hand curled around his arm and she looked as if content to go to sleep right there, right that moment.Lorcan couldn’t speak, couldn’t think, could barely breathe. Could just lay there, stare down at her, and let her move into him like an iron thread wrapping around his spine. Just by existing, she had slipped behind all of his defenses and moved into his soul. She had stolen his heart for her own and he knew it was futile to ever get it back. And he knew he was completely, utterly at her mercy.
