Wow. Adding Jim Ellison to this clan has really ratcheted up the tension. Excellent story already. If you haven't read the first two stories in the series, I recommend it. This one will make a lot more sense if you do. Plus, they're a damn good read. Well worth the time.

I call this a Dirty Little Secret Fic due to the fact that, under normal circumstances, I would never rec a fic with such bad punctuation and spelling problems. It's really a shame that the author didn't have a tough beta to work this story over for them, because the world-building is wonderfully imaginative, and the AU versions of both BtVS and AtS characters are well-written and fascinating to read. I read this story on a fairly regular basis. As long as you know what you're getting yourself into, it's well worth the effort.

The series is incomplete, but damn good. The author was actively writing the series up until about a year ago, but just last month, they replied to a commenter that they did intend to finish the story, so I have my fingers crossed.
The second and third parts are real tear-jerkers, so keep your Kleenex handy. :::pets poor Xander:::
I've never watched Season One of Supernatural, but I've read enough crossovers that I managed fairly well. I'm not sure I would have done as well if I didn't know Season Seven of Buffy, though. It would probably be better if you did know both series (especially for the earlier parts.) As the series progresses, you need to know less and less of their pasts.
