Summary
Seonghwa and Hongjoong have been best friends since childhood, so no wonder that they know each other better than themselves. Except for one thing. Seonghwa has been in love with Hongjoong for years. Yet he is convinced that Hongjoong doesn’t feel the same. Also, Seonghwa knows that Hongjoong is not ready to commit to a relationship. And for Seonghwa their friendship is more important than his neglected one-sided feelings.
Apparently, for Hongjoong it meant nothing. Seonghwa finds out about it the hard way - when on Friday night Hongjoong invites him to Kim's family reunion dinner, and only after arriving there Seonghwa learns that Hongjoong lied to his parents about the two of them dating.

Seonghwa had been obsessed with werewolves his whole life.
He knew the intense pull he felt towards lycans was confusing for other vampires, and he honestly couldn’t even blame them – not even he himself could begin to understand why he felt the way he did about their so-called ‘mortal enemies’.
Seonghwa had enough self-awareness to accept that there was probably something very wrong with him. A loose wire in his brain that made him spend stupidly high amounts of money on drugs laced with werewolf semen.
Something that made him pay no attention to other vampires, or even humans, because he was too busy fantasizing about yellow eyes and bicolor fur while high on W.

In a society where hybrids were either fancy pets or alleycats, Seonghwa knew he enjoyed many privileges as a pedigree indoor cat and that the discrimination he faced was nothing compared to what stray catpeople went through. These invisible and forgotten cats would probably give everything they have to get just a mere fraction of the perks he got, but he couldn’t help but think that he’d also give everything he has just to enjoy their apparent freedom just once.
He still felt the slight pang of jealousy as he stared at the clowder of catboys playing in the park, excited screams and meows traveling all the way to the car. Seonghwa had never had the chance to interact with strays before, but they always looked so ...happy and carefree. He yearned to know what that felt like.
He snapped out of his longing daydreams when his attention was momentarily drawn to one of the cats laying on the grass - an orange tabby who was already staring at him by the time their eyes met, intense gaze piercing through him.
