Summary
Lena hums. “And here I thought you were supposed to be saving me, tonight.”
Kara blinks up from the food to Lena’s chest—oops—before meeting Lena’s eyes. “Save you?” she says. “Haha. What. Like, uh, like Supergirl? Or whatever?”
“No, silly,” Lena says, smiling so fondly at her that it makes Kara a little lightheaded. “As my bodyguard, of course.”
“Oh right! That’s me!” Kara grins, puffing out her chest and clicking her heels and keeping her eyeline firmly above Lena’s shoulders. “At your service, ma’am. Ready to guard your—um.” She halts. “Your… body,” she finishes, flinching.
-
In which Supergirl attends a fancy party in D.C. to stop a mysterious assassin, and wow, would you look at that? Lena Luthor is there too! What a complete and utter coincidence!

Summary
Lena smiles to herself as she watches Kara zip through the shopping mall. She’s like a honey-drunk bumblebee, bouncing from aisle to aisle, descending on some random item every five seconds just to mutter hmm and dart off again. Lena has long since stopped trying to keep up, both with her best friend’s not-quite-incriminating measure of super speed and her unfathomable decision-making process.
“Lena help,” Kara pouts. “Do fifteen-year-olds like anything?”
-
In which Kara and Lena go shopping for a birthday gift, and end up with a little bit more than they bargained for.

Summary
“Do we really need to do this?” Kara had asked this morning. Her gaze had been a cross-eyed, sparkling green as Lena applied her eyeliner with a trembling, freckled hand.
Lena had growled in response, knowing even the barest bit of unintentional pressure could blind her for life. “We’re not going to cancel just because we’re wearing each other’s bodies, Kara. Hold still.”
-
In which Lena insists she and Kara see a therapist for a pre-marriage checkup, existentially inconvenient circumstances be damned.

Summary
So here’s the thing: by the time Lena notices the device taped to the bottom of her credenza, she’s already thoroughly done with her day. The only thing that’s kept her upright is the prospect of opening the bottle of Bowmore waiting for her on its top shelf, so Lena’s first reaction is less BOMB and more tired resignation.
(The second one is BOMB, because no matter how many times she stares down the barrel of a gun or lurches through the air in a failing aircraft, it isn’t something Lena will ever actually get used to.)
-
In which Lena Luthor has planned for almost everything, and still gets caught off guard.

Summary
“I figured maybe you were considering, you know.” Kara’s blush is adorable. “Partaking in some water, um, based—activities.” She stares at Lena for a long second after handing her the lube, seemingly short-circuiting at the sight of her turning the small bottle over in her hands. “Which, by the way, are listed at the top of, uh.” Kara scratches her nose. “Many articles on ways to relax.”
Lena bites back a giggle at the image of Supergirl standing in line at the pharmacy, frantically scrolling through Autostraddle’s 10 Sensational Self-Care Strategies That Will Really ‘Hit The Spot’! while waiting for the cashier to ring up her lube.
“How very considerate,” Lena teases. “And you don’t think this particular method will be at all counter-productive?”
“I don’t know,” Kara shrugs, a shy smile tugging at her lips. “It’s not like it takes a lot of hard work to get you off.”
-
In which Lena's physician challenges her to keep her heart rate from spiking for a single day, and Kara has some interesting ideas on how to best approach the situation.

Summary
Kara crosses her arms and drops her elbows on the bar, leaning what she now realizes is a little too close to her opponent. Close enough to make out the individual downy hairs on her chin and the lines in her painted lips, which are pursed in what Kara is sure would look like an attractive pout to someone who didn’t know any better.
But Kara knows so much better.
“Let me guess,” she says, her tone much less biting than originally intended. “Today you’ll be having the fifth entrée down the list.”
-
In which Kara and Alex run a restaurant, and Lena finds herself peckish for more than just Italian food.

Summary
Lena lets out a careful breath and says, “James and I have decided to end our— association.”
What a perfectly weird and roundabout way to describe the end of a romantic relationship, Kara thinks. “Oh?” she says, aptly demonstrating her own comparative lack of eloquence.
It earns her one of Lena’s crinkly smiles at least, affection clear on her best friend’s face. “Should I feel offended that you don’t seem all that surprised?” she flusters.
“No,” Kara says, “I am,” and she is, is the thing, she's actually stunned, but she’s something else, much more than that.
She’s elated.
“Bummer,” Kara says.
-
In which Kara makes a tiny new enemy, Alex has an actual functioning gaydar, and Lena breaks up with James only to immediately start seeing someone else. And Kara is fine! Except for the part where she’s really, really not.

Summary
The jury summons arrives on a Friday.
“You have to get yourself disqualified,” Alex says.
Kara frowns. “What about my civic duty?”
Her sister ignores her. She’s on her phone, already finding her an out. “Your occupation should qualify you for an exemption,” she discovers. “It says here, if you’re full-time military, or a firefighter, or a cop—”
Kara holds the letter up for Alex to read. “They didn’t summon Supergirl,” she says. “They summoned Kara Danvers, freelance food critic and full-time reporter.”
-
In which no one escapes jury duty, not even superheroes and celebrity CEOs, and when Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor end up in sequestration, well—the defense submits that there's more than one type of civic service.

Summary
“That’s quite a selection,” Lena says, her voice warm with humor.
Kara blinks at her a few times, and then asks, elegantly, “What?”
Lena gives the books in Kara’s strangling grip a sharply amused glance. Dad’s Guide to Pregnancy for Dummies, Kara discovers when she follows Lena’s gaze, and also Ukulele Exercises, Catholicism, and, perhaps most incriminatingly, Raising Goats. For Dummies. Naturally.
“Well,” Kara says. “That certainly paints a picture.”
-
In which Kara Danvers does not ogle Lena Luthor's ass, or flirt, or lie to her, not ever, not at all.

Summary
Lena Luthor is going to die.
She’s going to die very soon and she’s going to do it right here on the road to god-knows-where, Colorado, her hands still clutching the wheel of this foul-smelling rental car, buried under five feet of snow for the remainder of the season until some fortunate family of possums digs her up in spring, probably. (Do they have possums in the mountains?)
But before she dies, she’s going to kill Sam Arias.
-
In which Lena Luthor hates the winter holidays, until her best friend lures her to her cabin in the mountains where she's promptly held hostage by a very well-timed snowstorm and the irresistible charms of unexpected guest Kara Danvers. (But Lena will literally kill a man before admitting to that last part.)

Summary
Lena doesn’t understand what’s happening. Kara’s close proximity combined with the infernal heat of the cottage already has her sweating again. Shouldn’t even a demigod understand the meaning of an emergency? Why is Kara staring at her like Lena is three scoops of gelato and Kara is trying to decide which flavor she wants to try first?
And then — oh. Oh no. Oh, fuck me, Lena thinks — which hilariously, mortifyingly, is exactly what she realizes she’s just told Kara to do.
“Entrare,” she corrects, panicking, practically yelling it into the poor woman’s face.
-
In which Lena Luthor is a newly disowned former heiress trying to survive a heatwave, and Kara is more than willing to lend a hand.

Summary
Why are my plant’s leaves yellowing? is the first, innocuous ask. It's followed by a picture of the brown, crisp remains of what Lena only vaguely recognizes must at one point have been a vibrant green ZZ plant.
Because it’s fucking dead, Lena wants to reply. Instead, she writes Is it possible it’s near a window where it gets too much direct light?
-
In which Lena runs a popular plant care blog and Kara has yet to meet a plant she couldn't kill.

Summary
Fan art. In the Nazi-occupied Netherlands during World War II, Lena Luthor is the daughter of a wealthy Dutch collaborator favored by the Nazis to become mayor. When she meets resistance fighter Kara Danvers, Lena realizes her position allows her to work against every morally reprehensible thing her family name stands for, and that she’s not quite as powerless – or as level-headed – as she’s been taught to be.

Summary
Fan art.
The pajamas Sam has handed her are almost as soft as the look she gives her sometimes, like when she believes Lena is being too hard on herself. They also manage somehow to be both much too large and far too small for Lena to wear with any kind of dignity. The top fits her not unlike a shift dress, long sleeves hanging down well beyond the tips of her fingers. The waistband of the pants won’t stretch beyond the first swell of her hips, and Lena could have done without the reminder of exactly how short or sturdy she is in comparison to her best friend. She opts out of the pants. Rolls up her sleeves. Takes a breath, leaves the bathroom and heads down the hall.
Kara’s room is cozy, but there’s a definite chill in the air. It’s almost enough to make her shiver when she glances at Kara -- whose attention is suddenly quite obviously not on the book in her hands, but at some point just beyond, which happens to be exactly where Lena’s thighs are, at the moment.
“Good book?” Lena asks pointedly.
Kara turns bright pink and snaps her eyes back to the page. “Lovely,” she squeaks.

Summary
Shit, it’s not like she doesn’t know. Your intentions aren’t the ones in question here. She can have either one of you; you’re as devoted to her as he is. But god damn it, she cannot have you both.
