Those ice blue irises dip, lazily dragging down to the front of his converse before taking the same path back up again. When they meet Naim's eyes again, there is a glint in them that makes his stomach flip.
A smirk overtakes the blond's expression. "Dunno. That's what I'm curious about."
The night begins as just another party that Naim is being dragged along to. However, that changes the moment that Ryan Whelan notices him through the crowd.

Ryan sighed - there was the naim-stop-smoking sigh that he remembered before - and brought the washcloth up to tenderly dab at the already crusted blood on his cheekbone. “And lost your pretty privilege- maybe the few brain cells left in there too. Entertain me. Who’s the president?”
Naim scoffed against the washcloth. “Prime minister, dickhead. You watch too much American shit.”
Ryan pressed firmer into his cheek, sending fresh waves of pain through Naim’s aching head. He groaned, attempting weakly to push Ryan’s unrelenting hand off. “What’s his fucking name- Guy who shit himself in the Maccas.”

Somehow the blonde boy had completely hypnotised him. That was how Naim felt about it, for lack of a better word.
Otherwise he would not be so worked up over the fact it had been nearly two months and he still had not so much as grazed a hand beneath Ryan's waistband.
How absurd was that?

“Depends,” Ryan says, tilting his head. “You gonna come?”
There’s a stutter of breath, and Ryan concludes that he doesn't really mind that his comment came out that way.
“We’ll see,” Reid says. "Don’t get your hopes up.”

Ryan and Naim have been hockey rivals since their junior years in Australia. But within the confines of the national league, things get more intense and unwanted feelings begin to rise.
