Summary
Regina knew she had a soulmate out there somewhere. All those years ago, back when she was nineteen and miserable in the arms of King Leopold, Tinkerbell conjured an image of her true love: floating in front of her, shrouded in gaudy green pixie dust, was the shimmering image of a silver swan necklace pendant.
Regina spent years trying to identify the owner, scouring the lands for her mysterious love, until one day, that same Swan pendant appeared at her door, sheepishly dragging her rebellious ten-year-old son towards the house.
An abridged retelling of some of the most memorable SwanQueen interactions throughout the first three seasons, embellished with Regina's knowledge that Emma is her soulmate. Mostly follows canon except for some minor adjustments and invented scenes to drive the altered narrative.
