Kirishima's eyes open wide, his grip on Katsuki’s hand loosens. His body is frozen now, and he hesitates before finally speaking in a soft voice, “Uh, what? You knew?”
“Course I did. You’re the one who claimed me as your friend. Can we go inside?” Katsuki shakes his arm still held within Kirishima’s grasp. He could pull away if he wanted, and he’s well aware of that, but he figures Kirishima is going through some sort of not-good-enough, self-hatred thing at the moment and would be damned if he were to be a bad friend and drop his hand now.

When he had connected to the hive mind and killed the demogorgons, he had felt Vecna, in all his insidious glory. For a second, that same darkness had overtaken Will, he was scared of the way he felt when he’d snapped the demogorgons bones.
