In which Jim finds himself fake-married to his first officer every other month. It's not his fault. Mostly. Dowries and Klingons are involved. Starfleet is decidedly not amused.

Summary
The only type of dating geologists are good at is radioactive carbon-dating. The rest goes completely over their heads.
(Viktor and Yuuri are geology professors leading a field course in Western Australia. Chaos ensues.)
Alfred shifts awkwardly. Looks at Viktor and Yuuri, and asks, “So, uh. Are you guys dating?”
Yuuri greatly misunderstands, and Viktor panics.
Of course we are, Yuuri says. Rather critically, he thinks to himself: why else would he be here, in the scorching, godforsaken heat, surrounded by a hundred kilos of rock, if not for the purpose of radiometric dating?

Summary
None of this has anything to do with Otabek, except that Yuri didn’t get Otabek’s number, and so he can’t bitch to him about the whole situation. He makes do with bitching to Mila, who at least agrees that Viktor is impossible to deal with right now.
Otabek keeps liking Yuri’s selfies, but that’s it, that’s the complete and total sum of his communication with Yuri for an entire two weeks. Yuri is not mad about it because there’s nothing to be mad about. They are friends and this, it turns out, is what friends do. Like each other’s selfies and make out at international sporting events. He’s pretty sure Mila’s got at least three friends that fit exactly those parameters.

Summary
"Are you drunk?" The World's Most Beautiful Grad Student asks, bluntly, obviously examining Yuuri's lack of coat and the glint of mania in his eyes.
"Of course not," Yuuri snorts, "who needs alcohol when you have sleep deprivation?"
"Good point," Viktor concedes, and holds the door open for him. "Come in, then."Bookmarked by emmadecody

Summary
As chief communications officer on board the Interstellar Alliance Fleet’s Star Ship Victory, Yuuri doesn’t have to think about who he actually is on his home planet. He just has to listen to his captain, do his job, and…not fall in love with his best friend, the ship’s science officer, Victor Nikiforov.
Well. Two out of three’s not bad.
Then his mother calls with the worst possible news: She, the Empress of New Nihon, has arranged Yuuri’s marriage.
There’s only one thing Yuuri can do: Fake a boyfriend, and fake one fast. Who better/worse to play that role than the friend he wishes was more? What can go wrong? It’s not like Yuuri can fall more in love...- Language:

Summary
Victor learns Japanese while in Hasetsu. He doesn't tell Yuuri, and things get dicey when he overhears Yuuri and Mari talking about him in Japanese. Repeatedly.
(The subtitle of this fic should be: Victor Nikiforov really needs a hug. Luckily, he gets one. Eventually.)
~~~
“No,” Victor says, skating up to Yuuri on the ice, “you have to push all the way from here, or you’ll never get the height you need for that axel.” He sets his hand on Yuuri’s ass, tracing the muscle group he’s referring to. “Not here.” He taps Yuuri’s thigh. He doesn’t know the words for the muscles in English, only knows how to show him.
Yes, technically he’s grabbing Yuuri’s ass, but how else is he to communicate?
Summary
“It was practical,” Otabek says.
“It was practical,” Yuri repeats, turning back to Victor like he’s won some argument.
“This again.” Victor takes another puff of his cigarette and waves the smoke, Yuri is sure, directly toward his face.
(Thirteen years of marriage and one child later, Yuri still refuses to admit that maybe, just maybe, he and Otabek are in love.)
“...Okay...I thought that...you’d be some sort of psychopath, and the system is actually some crazy cult and I’d get kidnapped and be forced into some blood ritual with you,” Victor admits.
There's a moment's pause before Yuuri speaks. “Would we get married to Satan afterwards?” he asks with a bat of his eyelashes.
“We’d probably get married to Satan, yes."
Summary
Dear Yung, there’s a lull at last after almost four straight days of meatball surgery. That’s eighty-five hours of sewing kids together; kids that look more at home behind a desk rather than a rifle. If this keeps up, I’m thinking of asking the army for a raise. / War is hell and seemingly endless. Yet, when Dr. Kai Wen meets Dr. Jinora Gyatso, everything goes uphill from there.
