My parents will realise that their stupid idea of cursing me with only getting to date once Regulus does didn’t work out because look at that, Regulus also dates! They reverse the magic, Regulus can happily go back to refusing to date anyone, I can go back happily dating Remus, and you can happily go back doing whatever you had planned to do this summer. Alexei lifted his hands up. “Well, what are we waiting for?” he shouted, gesturing at everything: the monitor showing the falling engine in real time, the countdown, the communications from the teams, the images of terror-stricken refugees filing into a temporary neighborhood in New Asgard, in Manitoba, in Ohio and Wakanda and China. Someone had set a fire in protest outside the United Nations. Smoke rose, obscuring the flags. “NOAA said this morning that all of the Eastern Seaboard needs to be evacuated. American refugees are flooding into Canada. Too many tensions, huh? Going to cause a war if we don’t do something. So what are we waiting for?”
“A vote.” Bucky’s voice was sour and quiet as he shoved off from the wall and walked over. “We’re a team. We act like one. So we’ll vote on it.”

“Everyone has a roommate, baby,” the woman says, “I’m Sasha Duncan, this is my husband Arthur. My boys Damien and Devin and this,” she points to her daughter– Gabriella watching as she goes through a few dozen emotions before settling into a forced neutrality, “is Tashi.”
