Summary
When 1x was a child, they’d broken a mug that belonged to an admin they couldn’t remember the name of. It was an accident. They remembered being so afraid when they looked up to their creator to gauge his reaction. He’d smiled, telling them that it was okay, helping them clean up the spilled coffee and broken glass.
“Mistakes happen, dear,” He’d said, crouching down to their eye level. “You must learn from when you’ve failed, or you won’t grow.”
“I don’t want anyone to hate me!” A younger 1x had cried out, throwing their arms around Telamon’s legs.
“How could anyone hate you? You are Telamon’s pride and joy. They all love you.” And maybe, at the time, Telamon’s words were true.

Summary
As the pasta boiled over the stove, Al-Haitham decided that from now on, Kaveh would be cooking his own food– to prevent Al-Haitham from ever having to make monstrosities such as peanut butter and jelly spaghetti ever again.

Summary
“You look good,” Al-Haitham mutters into the soft skin of Kaveh’s cheek, chest tightening at the way she can feel it heat beneath her lips.
Kaveh pulls back, bodies pressed together as she forces eye contact with the scholar who holds her so tenderly, as though Kaveh is a fragile relic. “Just good?”
Al-Haitham reels.
No, she thinks. Heavenly. Ethereal. Irresistible. Ravishing. All of Al-Haitham’s linguistic knowledge floods her at that moment, words piling in her mind, racing to the front, mixing and morphing into anything and everything she can think of to describe the empyrean figure that is offering herself so graciously.

Summary
“You’re crying, honey,” Tighnari says quietly, breaking Collei from her thoughts with a gentle hand on her face, wiping away the tears that pour from her eyes.
Collei sniffs. Involuntarily, she leans into his touch. “Am I selfish, Baba?” The name slips out before she can stop it, but Collei makes no effort to backtrack.
Tighnari’s gaze softens to something melancholy, and the emotion that fills it is so intense that Collei has to tear her eyes away before she begins to sob.

Summary
Fondly, Hyperlaser wondered if his preferences were influenced at all by his drinking partner of choice. That man in question greatly preferred solitude over the typical crowdedness of a bar, with Hyperlaser’s presence being a curious exception to the rule. To him, Katana was something quite close to otherworldly, floating above the mundane world– and yet, he found a place for Hyperlaser in the midst. A tether to regular life.
That fact was something anyone would and should be grateful for. Hyperlaser only wished that considering Katana in that way didn’t make their throat so tight.
After a night of drinking, magnetic trust and burning desire comes spilling forth.

Summary
Usually, Hyperlaser and Katana would spend an evening like this out drinking, sharing stories and fighting back the impulse to take things too far once the liquor hit. This time, though, Katana insisted on bringing the mercenary back to his, something they’d only previously done on nights where they’d drank too much, got too close, and… regrettably, acted upon those aforementioned impulses. But those instances had grown less and less common over time—or at least, less saturated with alcohol. Perhaps, in this way, bringing Hyperlaser here was a show of respect on Katana’s part, of intimacy beyond what they shared at barrooms and intermission lobbies.
Speaking of… Katana didn’t really think his intentions were that unclear, did he?
After a televised Phight, Hyperlaser's evening is upended when his friend spontaneously sends for him.

Summary
This wasn't how this was supposed to go.
Telamon had just wanted to rid himself of something that found itself to be troubling, pull it out, rip it out if he had to, that was the plan, and the result was going to be satisfactory, to have a vessel that could hold all the nasty things about himself, away from others- instead, he got a much weaker vessel to use for such a task.
Weak, small, fragile, the body of a child. Telamon hated it.
He hated that voice that came with it, too. How bothersome.
OR
Telamon tries to use 1x as a vessel to hold all his hatred and to lock them away, but everything goes south, and he gets something entirely different: 1x, who has the characteristics and personality of a child, and Shedletsky, the comedic sword fighter we all know and love, as a result of Telamon causing accidental trauma to his brain.
So here's a series of how Telamon deals with being a system, with the help of a very familiar ex-hacker and exploiter (and his sugar-filled son as well!), and how they all grow to understand each other throughout this series of mine :) Hope you enjoy <3

Summary
It felt like for several games, now, Shedletsky has been getting hurt on purpose, just to run to Builderman for help and ask for a dispenser. At first, he could see past it. Maybe eating took a bit too long, or he couldn’t find a medpack; maybe Elliot wasn’t around to offer any pizzas. In those situations, Builderman could understand the necessity.
But it had been constant. He wouldn’t just ask when it was convenient—no, it would be every single game, without fail, anytime he had gotten hurt. And somehow, despite Builderman knowing Shedletsky was an incredibly capable fighter, it felt like he had managed to get hurt in every round. It was horribly suspicious. So much so that it had led him to wonder if he really was going out of his way to get hurt. At this point, it’s starting to feel like all Shedletsky wants is his attention. And if it’s his attention he wants, Builderman is more than happy to oblige.
