Summary
No one really cared what happened to you. You weren't a very good victim at all. Retroactively, you deserved it.
Or; abuse is hard to name when you ended up violent and with paradoxical complexes instead of depressed, waifish and unrelentingly kind.

This fic deserves a bookmark for the summary alone. A very nuanced fic on Bakugou.

Sometimes quirks need time to show, but Midoriya's takes so long he forgets he's supposed to have one and moves on. But that didn't make its effects go away.

Bookmarker's Notes
"Izuku was still tired as he walks away, but he consoles himself that he is the light to so many peoples dark. Takes a small bit of pride in the fact that he could theoretically be a pillar forever.
After all, if he can’t have that much in the face of forever, then why bother remaining?
Izuku keeps walking forward."
The fic really just understands Izuku and the point of One for All being All for One's opposite.

Summary
If Rumi Usagiyama had one fatal flaw, it was that she couldn't keep a secret to save her life. She was too used to speaking her mind.
If Tsunagu Hakamata had one fatal flaw, it was that he could come off as condescending. He meant well, really, but sometimes other people got the wrong idea.
If Hawks had one fatal flaw, he'd be fucking thrilled because one was a massive decrease from the ten to fifteen flaws he got weekly reminders about from the Hero Commission.
In which Rumi gets drunk and reveal something she wasn't supposed to know, Tsunagu has been trying to help, and Hawks has been through too much for a 22 year old whose been groomed for the past 14 years.

In which Hawks finally has a breakdown & Best Jeanist has been quarreling with the Hero Commission in the background.
Or a piece with characterization that makes the characters feel like people.

Summary
Izuku doesn't ever tell anybody about Bakugou's bullying. That silence shapes both of their futures and the redemption arc set up for Bakugou in canon. So here's a closer look at that silence, eventually breaking it, and Izuku's own frustration with it.
(Also there's parallels with Todoroki and Endeavour, #quality)

Bookmarker's Notes
"IMO Izuku really should've been allowed to carry more resentment in canon and physical manifestations of Bakugou's bullying. It's obvious the author shies away from such things because they make Bakugou more difficult to redeem/keep on top, but that's coward talk. ... Having Bakugou, like Endeavour, redeemed through silence has some...negative implications for their victims and for the tone of the manga overall. And, in an overall impressive manga, it's startingly lazy writing." -Half_SubmergedinPurgatory
