Mydei knew him well. Very well. But sometimes, he couldn't understand him, no matter how he looked at it. However, this wasn't one of those moments. He had a vague idea—a faint understanding at the very least.
But he didn't want to assume. Maybe he'd gotten it all wrong and he was being an idiot for even letting the thought cross his mind.
His brows furrowed as he shut down the idea. It was a futile thought—

Summary
On the day Will Byers should board a plane to New York, Vecna pulls him backward through time. His eighteen-year-old consciousness wakes in his twelve-year-old body, one week before the Demogorgon takes him into the Upside Down. Meanwhile, twelve-year-old Will finds himself trapped in 1989, disoriented and alone at an airport, calling the one person who still answers: Mike Wheeler.
Two versions of Will exist across six years of distance. One carries memories of everything they survived: monsters, sacrifices, El's death, and words left unspoken between him and Mike. The other knows nothing of the horrors ahead or why his best friend sounds so heartbroken on the phone.
Armed with the knowledge of every tragedy to come, older Will faces an impossible choice. He could save them all, and rewrite everything. The clock ticks toward November 6th, and Will must decide what matters more: the lives he could save or the truth he never had the courage to speak.

In the three years since Will Byers went missing, the town of Hawkins has been under constant threat of the creatures from the Upside Down. But now, eight months after Vecna has ruptured a giant rift through the town of Hawkins, that threat is about to reemerge. Unaware of Vecna's true plans and trapped under a military quarantine, our heroes will not only be forced to face the greatest evil from the Upside Down, but also overcome impossible odds, in order to save their town, and each other, one last time.
Written in a SCREENPLAY format, this fic operates as a diverging conclusion for the final season of Stranger Things.
