Summary
He buries his fingers in Ilya's curls as their kiss grows deeper, needier, and tugs. That's the first time he ever hears it, a low and breathless sound that forces itself out of Ilya's throat and into Shane's mouth, pushes its way past his teeth and climbs down his throat until it can wrap itself around the air in his lungs, remaining an echo under every desperate hitch of his breath. All he can think is again, again, again. There are goosebumps all over Ilya's skin, and something hazy glosses over his eyes, and then Shane is dropping to his knees on pure instinct.
Shane loves pulling Ilya's hair. Ilya loves having his hair pulled.

Time passes in unimportant, undefined liminality. Ilya's limbs feel heavy, as if he just ran a double. It brings the same release too, a comforting exhaustion.
Awareness creeps back slowly, like a caress. Shane's familiar scent, his understated aftershave, the faint sheen of sweat on his skin in the warm night, the heat of his body resting in Ilya's lap, wrapped around him.
It would be so easy to turn his head a little, run his tongue along the length of his neck, just where the veins press through. He lets the urge simmer for a while, a pleasant humming building until it tips over and Ilya exhales.

Then he spots him, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel in the most boring suburban dad car Ilya has ever had the misfortune of laying his eyes on, and he’s so happy to see him that his legs feel unsteady beneath his weight.
