Stede encourages Izzy to finally share his feelings with Edward. Edward's response is nothing like what Stede expects.

Summary
"Izzy is left panting hard, still crouched over Stede's body, his teeth bared, and one arm clutching a dagger that faces outward, in case anyone gets any fucking ideas.
But when he blinks, the world around him has shifted. The entire crew is staring at him, Ed is staring at him, the fucking seagull is staring at him-
“Izzy,” Stede says very softly, from underneath him, “I'm quite alright. You protected me very well.”
Izzy's ears ring with whining he doesn't understand, and he shakes his head to clear the sound, his sight locking on Bonnet safe beneath him.
When he blinks again, arms are circling gently around his own. He growls, but a strong hand tweaks his wrist and he's forced to drop the knife. Those arms drag him backwards and he howls wildly, thrashing with his entire body to be set free.
“Shh, hon,” it's Spriggs's voice that comes to him, and Izzy can't bring himself to hate that he knows this voice so intimately, “he's safe. You're safe, too, but you're got to be hurting pretty bad, can't you feel it?”"
Or: Izzy learns that being taken care of when you're hurting can feel pretty good. Soft, more or less, with some blood.

Summary
After a raid gone wrong, Stede wakes up with amnesia. He is fascinated because he obviously finally pursued his dream of being a pirate. Izzy is looking after him the most so Stede jumps to the conclusion that this must be his pirate lover the crew keep mentioning. Everyone is having a time with this, and insecure about the situation.

“How long have we been together?” Stede asks Izzy beside him.
Across from him, Ed nearly chokes.
Izzy’s expression is incredulous. “Wha- Bonnet?”
Stede fiddles with his napkin nervously. “Roach and some of the others mentioned it. My boyfriend. And I figured, well.”
“That’s not-” Izzy starts. Ed kicks him under the table.
But Stede knows if he stops now he’ll lose his nerve so he plunges on. “I understand it must feel strange to bring it up, given that I hardly know you, now. But I feel a bit as though I do. Know you, that is. And I. I don’t want to fuck this up again.”
Ed shoots Izzy a complicated look across the table that Stede can’t even begin to read. But Izzy must be able to decipher it, because he deflates, the arguments going out of him with a sigh.
