The question startles Collei out of her excitement. She looks up at him with wide eyes, surprised, a spoonful of Padisarah pudding halfway to her mouth.
“You’re not just saying that because Tighnari suggested it, right?” he questions.
Collei lowers the spoon and shakes her head vehemently. “No, of course not!” she exclaims. “I — I like my homeschooling with Tighnari, and he’s always very patient and kind when he teaches me, but it’s… well… I just…” She glances down towards the table, fidgeting with her hands. “I think it’d be nice. To go to school. I never really got to do that before — before everything.”
‘Everything’ is a word far too small to encompass all of Collei’s everything, Cyno thinks.

Summary
After decades of violent war, peace between the nations of Parnassus and Promare has finally been established by the promised union of Prince Galo Thymos and Regent Lio Fotia. The two have never met, but their wedding is suddenly the most important event in recent history and they know that millions of lives are riding on their ability to get along, or, at least, their ability to fake it for the cameras.

Summary
Xingqiu had told Chongyun, all those years ago, most of the truth - that he’d gotten his Vision in the rainstorm that had pummelled Liyue Harbor while Chongyun had been recuperating from his disastrous Dragonspine expedition, that perhaps even the Archons had known not to separate Xingqiu and Chongyun in any way. It had been half a joke, but Chongyun had accepted it with a pleased smile.
He doesn’t know what it says about him that he remembers, with aching clarity, that moment where he’d been so coldly angry about not being able to protect Chongyun that he’d attracted the attention of the Archons themselves. Every time he touches his Vision, he gets a flash of that frigid, relentless part of himself.
And it feels ugly.

Summary

"Why are you avoiding me?"
"I'm not avoiding you," Galo said unconvincingly. The harsh fluorescent lighting of the stairwell made the dark circles under his eyes more pronounced. He looked Lio up and down, then quickly away. "You should put on some pants."
"Don't avoid my question about you avoiding me," Lio said, knowing full well that he was more of a threat to Galo while clad in just his boxers and an over-sized t-shirt than he would be while fully dressed. Galo tried to sidestep him but Lio stuck out his leg and braced his bare foot against the wall, blocking the way forward. "We can have this conversation here or in your apartment, but you're not getting away from me."

Summary
It starts small.
An ever-so-slight lean into Galo’s side when they’re standing next to each other, looking at the chore assignments for the week in the Burning Rescue headquarters. The barest brush of cold fingertips against a bright orange jacket hem. Sitting a little closer than usual on the couch in the rec room. Resting on Galo’s back a little more than necessary when Galo gives him a ride on the back of his motorcycle after work.
Lio is always freezing. Galo is always warm. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the rest.
