“They gave her a visitor pass and everything,” Spencer says, pulling the plastic badge from its place clipped to his backpack. She’d refused to keep it on, but he hadn’t expected her to in the first place. “Sorry for the late—” Non existent, “—notice, I didn’t know I’d have her today until about ten PM last night.”
