“Claire? What’s going on? Are you alright?” he was already halfway out of bed, dragging on jeans with one hand. Didn’t matter that she was on the other side of the planet, his instinct just screamed at him to move.
“I’m fine” She’d said quickly, almost too quickly. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you I just…I need a favour;”
Chris had paused, sitting on the edge of the bed, tension deflating slightly. “Uh, what kind of favour?” He squinted against the morning light and fought the instinct to crawl back beneath the covers.
There was a short silence on the other end. He could almost hear her chewing her bottom lip. “I’m worried about Leon,”
