“But you’re always my hero,” Shoto said. “Have been, always will be, ever since you sat with me in my room at Troy.”
His words hovered in zero gravity, and it wasn’t something he could just snatch back. There was a terribly weak, inconsistent thumping against Katsuki’s ribs. He curled his fingers tighter over the steering wheel, until the sound of his nails scratching against the material made his eyes burn.
"I'm trying," he moaned. "I'm trying so hard to leave but I can't get out."
Shoto returns to Musutafu after a three-year stint in Tokyo, to find out what it means to be more than the sum of his childhood, but also finds—Katsuki, doing the same in reverse, hovering in a limbo where Midoriya refuses to go.

Bumerang hangers. Multicoloured Vattensten LED lighting strips. A Nödmast portable lamp, because Katsuki insisted on having his PC in their room.
