He couldn’t help the next thing that came out of his mouth. “Damn, man, how much can you eat?”
Bucky snorted slightly through a mouthful of pancake. “More than you know,” he said out of the side of his mouth, not bothering to swallow before he spoke. “Super soldier metabolism tears through this shit.”
Sam shook his head a bit with a smile tugging at his lips. “Well, hey, it’s good to see you eating, at least. Haven’t seen you take a bite since we started this whole working together thing.”
The other gave Sam a look, one that he couldn’t quite discern, something like confusion, but not like the usual face Bucky made when he was confused. Which was often. But he went back to inhaling everything on his plate without another word.

“Bucky’s the best person in the world to stay with you when you’re sick. He’s the only reason I’m still around. We used to joke that it was a shame he hadn’t been born a dame, ‘cause he missed his calling as a nurse—don’t look at me like that; it was a compliment, and I think it’s swell that men can be nurses now. Anyway, Bucky’s great with colds. And the flu, and stomach bugs, and he’s actually pretty good with rheumatic fever too. Not so much with pneumonia, but you can’t really hold that against him.”
Sam decides not to ask. “I don’t think I have pneumonia.”
(Sam falls sick right when Steve needs to go out Avenging. Luckily, Bucky, who's less than a year free from being the Winter Soldier and mostly spends his days prowling around the house, is around to take care of him.)

Summary
Shane trades his outgrown jeans for a comfortable pair of joggers that sit comfortably below his waist, wandering over to his floor mirror with a bit of hesitancy. He knows what he looks like. Still, he can't help but lift up his tee and ghost his hand over his middle. His abs are still there— barely. Honestly, there's not that much of a difference in his body. His ass and thighs are a little bigger. That's all. Nothing to write home about.
He'll just cool it on the late night dining hall trips and beer. Maybe add more cardio into his already exhausting workout routine. That'll fix the problem before he goes home for for the holidays.

He's such a messy, disgusting, soft thing. Of course he needs to be taken care of.
Grace is not dying anymore. But it isn't enough. He's not sure when, or if, it will be. He has to keep trying.
He gets so worked up he cannot sleep.
So, he goes to Grace. To his Grace. His new suit allowing them to touch, dextrous gloves he can run through Grace's soft hair. So soft. All of him like that, and, recently as he's learned, he can get softer.

Summary
The toll of listening to his friend waste way from malnutrition and make himself sick on taumoeba harms Rocky mentally almost as much as it does to Grace physically. He never wants to hear his friend vomit again, and he desperately wants him to stop sounding like skin stretched over bones. He'll do everything he can to make Grace healthy again.
