“I've seen you look like a kicked puppy and heard you make excuses not to hang out with me.” Dylan shrugged as nonchalantly as he could manage and made himself look at Ryan again.
Ryan squeezed Dylan's hand and stared right back at him.
“I make excuses not to hang out with you becau-”
“Oh wow, you just straight up admitted it.” Dylan laughed at himself, bitterly.
Ryan let go of Dylan's hand and placed his own on top of his shoulder, thumb brushing against his pulse point. He gave him the most determined look Dylan had seen on him since he was swearing on his life that Chris Hackett was the best of men.
