There was bemusement in his voice as Viktor remarked, “I do not need a mirror to see my hands, Jayce.”

Post-canon wizards. Jayce and Viktor travel to a world in which they're roped into attending a black-tie event. This proves to be a conventional excuse to explore some of Viktor's lingering insecurities. (Viktor's appearance and abilities loosely reference his Saviour skin)

As the days and weeks go by, Jayce realizes, the house might be bigger than it seems (and Viktor might be closer that he thought).

But that was long ago, back when the world was still his. Five years have passed, he's grown older, life has changed, and he refuses to pick up a brush.
Viktor is a writer -- in theory. In practice, he hasn't written a word of his manuscript in years, and not for lack of trying. He's reached a standstill, or a lull if you will. His character, who he has based off himself, will achieve great things, but will he always live in the shadow of his creation?
