Summary
There was an empty parking space at the Sheriff’s house. He sold the jeep two months ago to a broke college student, agreed on the price of five hundred dollars because it just barely ran and he couldn’t stand to look at it anymore. The second bedroom door on the left was permanently closed, keys thrown in a dresser to collect dust. It reminded them of what it had been like when they had forgotten him, when the door was thick with wallpaper instead of wood, but at least he had still been alive then.

Summary
Stiles is entirely unsurprised to find Derek in a snow-blocked, isolate mountain in Wyoming. It's the company the wolf keeps that makes Stiles do a double take.
Which is not actually a bad thing, considering the threat Stiles is currently running from. A secure wolf den with a protective pack seems to be the very thing that will undoubtedly save him from harm. And boredom.

Stiles’s heart nearly stopped. He tensed, looking around, and realized she was right. He was in a hospital gown, surrounded by white walls, and— and—
“Where’s my dad?”
“He’s on a shift,” Melissa said gently. “Stiles, you’ve been out for nearly a day. I’ll have Derek call and tell him to come back, okay?”
“Derek?”
The man stepped forward and instantly, Stiles was shying back. In a second, the man had frozen where he stood, an expression of surprise flitting across his face. He wasn’t a nurse, Stiles could tell that much. He wasn’t anyone that Stiles recognized. Slowly, he looked back at Melissa.
“Who’s Derek?”
