Summary
There is no real reason that Dennis Whitaker should have to be afraid of the dark.
Not really.
He’s a farm boy for fuck’s sake, the countryside gets much, much darker than Pittsburgh at night, so it’s not like he shouldn’t be used to it by now.
It’s not that he’s like — super afraid of the dark as a concept… it’s more… what it represents, more than anything. It’s the solitude of night, the fact that the security of day is stripped away from him, the fact that the dark brings out the worst of humanity, that’s what scares him.
(Or at least, that’s what he tells himself).

Summary
"Or..." Robby trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck. A blush was rapidly taking over his face. "You could share my nest?"
"You want me. In your nest." Jack repeated. He was trying to keep a firm leash on the alpha that lived in his hindbrain, to remind it that he and Robby were just friends, that this was not a mating offer.
Robby had been very firm that he never wanted an alpha, and Jack could respect that. Could live with it, even. His stupid, love-sick heart would get with the program one of these days.
"It's not that strange!" Robby insisted, growing more and more flustered. "Having friends you trust in your nest. The kids are doing it all the time. Dennis and Trinity share a nest, I've heard them talking about it and you know that despite their being opposite designations, they're purely platonic."
Jack wanted to point out that just because Dennis and Trinity shared a nest, it didn't mean that all the kids do so. Dennis and Trinity would probably surgically attach their hands if given the opportunity. Jack, however, was not about to make that (or any other) argument because he wanted in Robby's nest. Desperately.

Summary
"Your building's out of power too?" He asks, and Dennis isn't getting out of this so he nods. "Why didn't you say something? You can stay the night. Couch pulls out into a bed but I can take that and you can have my room. Much better than sitting around freezing."
That pulls Dennis out of his flustered panic, only because it throws him into a whole new one.
"Nonono," he shakes his head frantically. "You don't need to do that, Jack I'd be fine on the couch-"
He cuts himself off when Jack grins, realising that he'd used that phrasing intentionally to get Dennis to agree to come over, knowing he'd insist on not putting Jack out of his own bed. What a coniving evil bastard of a man.
Dennis' cheeks go pink.

Summary
If there’s one emotion Roy knows inside and out, it’s anger. Since he was small, his coaches have been telling him how to harness it on the pitch. He’s been told what to do with it off the pitch even longer. The problem is that he’d made the anger his whole person, because who is Roy Kent if he’s not a football player? If he’s not an elite athlete fueled by rage and determination? Now that he isn't on the pitch, Roy doesn’t need all that anger the same way, and without it, he’s not sure what’s left.
Or, Roy goes the therapy after Man City and gets his shit together.
