Summary
Mu Qing pulls his phone out of his pocket and attempts to unlock it.
The screen remains black. Huh?
“…What?” His voice comes out as a pathetic squeak.
Feng Xin swears under his breath. “Yours is dead too, isn’t it?”
“That’s impossible. My phone is always charged,” Mu Qing whispers in disbelief. “W-what does this mean?!”
His gaze unwittingly flicks to Feng Xin again. He half-expects Feng Xin’s face to start melting and distorting until the entire world around them fades away and Mu Qing wakes up from the nightmare that he’s having.
“It means we’re in the fucking apocalypse.”
or, Mu Qing and Feng Xin find themselves in the middle of the apocalypse. Everything goes about as well as you’d expect.

Silence.
Mu Qing bites down on his lip hard enough to draw blood, and only realizes once he can taste it in his mouth.
“Feng Xin?” he tries, raising his voice, but not yelling, afraid to scare his boyfriend even more.
No reply comes from the other side.
“I swear, if you don’t open the door right now, I’m going to break it down!”

Feng Xin is never betting against Hua Cheng again.
It was supposed to only be a simple bet! If He Xuan proposed to Shi Qingxuan at the latter’s birthday party, then Hua Cheng would win, and if he didn’t—Feng Xin would end up victorious.
Feng Xin should’ve known Hua Cheng had already created a despicable, evil plan in his head, and had simply been waiting to execute it.
So, as Feng Xin watches He Xuan propose—an action that results in a ton of happy screaming and tears from Shi Qingxuan—his heart is filled with both happiness and dread.

Mu Qing looked at Xie Lian quizzically. “Something else?”
“Just like how Feng Xin became the God of Pleasure by a misunderstanding, you could also find a secondary domain of worship! Something that ghosts need or want...”
“Like what?”
Xie Lian cleared his throat lightly before he suggested, “How about becoming a God of Style?”
After losing one too many spars, Mu Qing finds out that—due to new worshippers of Ju Yang in Ghost City—Feng Xin's divine power had become ever-so-slightly stronger than Mu Qing's. Mu Qing's solution? Build a following in Ghost City, too: bigger and better than Feng Xin's. The issue? Ghosts don't care for martial arts or war at all! Mu Qing would have to find something else to be worshipped for.
Thus begins Mu Qing's life as Xuan Zhen: the God of Beauty.
Feng Xin thinks he might die.
