Summary
The Guanyin Temple incident changed the cultivation world in more ways than they realised at first. Within a last touch, a curse hidden as a final gesture of good will is set upon Lan Xichen, the Leader of Gusu Lan. It begins to consume him, body and mind, leaving him adrift in a fog of memories that confuse and contradict his past. As the curse threatens his life, the Lans seek help from Lotus Pier, asking Jiang Wanyin, the Leader of Yunmeng Jiang to help them bring Lan Xichen back to them.
This fic is set two years after the end of the drama canon. Lan Xichen, betrayed and uncertain, entered seclusion to help find his path again. Jiang Cheng, continued as he had for the last decade to lead his people while providing quiet and unseen support to those who need it. Lan Wangji, now Chief Cultivator found his way to a mountaintop and reunited with his soul mate. Now married to Wei Wuxian, they work together to try and bring justice where they can.
Content Warning:There are some mentions of violence, trauma, manipulation and misunderstandings. Character deaths that happened in canon stick in this universe as well. Jin Guangyao - unrepentantly evil in this one.

Life brings with it many unexpected changes and after an injury forces Oikawa to retire early, he finds himself back in Japan wondering if all his efforts were even worth it in the end.
I.e. Oikawa struggles with change and makes a new (old) friend in the process.

Summary
Boggart yaos are deadly shapeshifters that scare their victims to death by taking the shape of their worst fears. Their true form has never been seen by anyone in recorded history…until now.
A post-canon Xicheng fic.
…"You wish to know why the boggart yao did not take on a form when it faced me?" he asks. "What should I have left to be afraid of, I wonder? Losing my parents, my siblings, my home? The shidis and shimeis I grew up with? Or should I fear failing my duty to my sect by remaining unmarried and heirless? Perhaps I should be scared of failing those I love the most."
He risks a glance towards Wei Wuxian and Jin Ling, and instantly regrets it. Wei Wuxian is in tears, and his nephew doesn't look a whole lot better. Breathing in deeply, Jiang Cheng looks at Lan Xichen instead, drawing strength from the steadiness of his presence.
"What form could a boggart yao take for me," he finishes, "when everything I ever feared has already come to pass?"
