“Jake,” Heeseung says again, even softer this time. “Jake, baby, won’t you look at me?” there’s a playful lilt to his voice, but Jake hears the concern through it anyways. It’s overwhelming.
Jake doesn’t look at him, but he does scoot closer till they’re cuddled up together, his head resting on the older’s shoulder. And maybe it’s because of how gentle Heeseung’s voice is, how softly he holds him. Maybe it’s because of how safe he feels in the other’s arms, but all of a sudden, Jake lets out a broken sob.
Heeseung tightens his hold.

Jake's a little bit broken, and doesn't think Heeseung could ever love him the way he loves the other. Heeseung proves him wrong.

Jake pretends to be innocent, but everyone knows he’s a promiscuous wolf. One of the creatures of the night that goes around spreading their legs for money. He loves it. It’s not even for the money anymore…or at least at first. Recently the men he’s been sleeping with have been rather lukewarm in terms of sex. Nothing feels exciting anymore, between both humans and wolves.
But then, he visits the prince's palace for the ball he was holding for his birthday. A vampire next in line to be king once his father passes. He didn’t intend on meeting the prince; vampires and werewolves don’t get along, afterall, until he actually saw him for the first time. They bump into each other (on Jakes terms of course), and the prince, Sunghoon, knows what he is. Not the werewolf part (well he does, but that’s not all) but the fact that he’s a promiscuous man. So he asks for a birthday present. Jake accepted, not expecting much, but oh boy was he in for a ride.
