The difference between them though, is that Aoki made him feel comfortable in his powerlessness—the type of man Eiji could relax around, take it easy, knowing he would handle everything. That sense of security Eiji never had the luxury to enjoy as a kid, the inherent power associated with older men who have their lives figured out.
Kasuga, Eiji think as he meets his eyes. Kasuga is an enigma.
