    Summary

    00.34: I’m sorry.

    00.35: who is this?

    00.40: Who is this?

Eleven years ago, tragedy struck a small private school on the outskirts of Tokyo.

Ten years ago, Geto Suguru disappeared from his parents’ home without even a note.

Nine years ago, Gojo Satoru got a new phone.

One week ago, a young man disappeared from an isolated mountain commune with two teenage girls.

Or, a story of lost innocence, disillusionment, and Gojo Satoru’s complete lack of situational awareness and context clues.

    Summary

"Suicide is the only truly serious philosophical question. Everything else is mere decoration."

Satoru stared at him in silence, chewing over the statement rather than reflecting on it. To him, it sounded less profound than the other man's calm tone suggested.

"Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus." He added, when silence lingered too long. His gaze, locked onto the doctor's crystalline eyes, never wavered again. From his hospital bed, he could still taste the sterile stiffness of the sheets — yet not once did he complain. Not even in a whisper.

Satoru shrugged. "I'm afraid I'm not too close to that line of thought."

"Say, doc," he interrupted softly, almost immediately. "Have you ever thought about death?"

    ---

Or, Satoru, an emergency room doctor, is faced with a patient—Suguru, who had attempted to take his own life. Something stirs in his chest, a feeling he can’t quite name.

    Summary

‘Go. Run Geto Suguru- because before the bounty is hung over that hanging tree in the square, boy-? All of Texas's best bounty hunters will be sharpening their tools for your black-haired head as you prepare to flee. You won’t find rest till you make it north, boy. So leave before the town's beloved White Shooter finds you, and brings your filthy blood as our new trophy.’

Those were the miraculous last words the Sheriff as Suguru tugged his wrist away from his sharp grasp; standing there as if he weren't the one pining up those bounty posters to begin with. Being the one to request all of the west's best hunters for the monster that had become of Suguru Geto, the 'barbaric tribesman' charged with manslaughter.

It no longer mattered if he grew up here or not. It no longer mattered that the infamous Satoru Gojo- the sharpest shot in America- was his only family left. It no longer mattered if they even knew each other at all.

Because when dusk dawns, so does the hitman.
And now Suguru was on the run from the only person capable of killing him.

Satoru Gojo clicked his gun inside the holster of his belt as he sat up in his seat. Prepared to win.

    Summary

A small welding torch was handed to him from the backseat, and he turned, fiddling with the wheel at the back until the flame leapt to life. He held the blue-ish fire to his knife, watching as the metal began to heat. “You two got names?” he asked.

“Ming Yi,” he replied, after a moment. “He’s San Lang.”

“Huh.” Xie Lian narrowed his eyes, glancing over at ‘Ming Yi’ for a moment. He had a good feeling that wasn’t his actual name, but he also knew that it didn’t matter. “You’re Ghosts?” he asked. ‘Ming Yi’ was pressing a disinfectant soaked rag against ‘San Lang’s’ side, pressing hard enough to make blood leak out and stain the rag. He paused, then nodded his head slowly. “I only ask, because I saw your necklace.”

“You got a name?” Ming Yi asked him.

“Call me God,” he said, flicking off the torch. He turned back around, and Ming Yi moved his hands, eyes wide. “Because if you want your ‘brother’ here to live through the night, you better start praying.”
