“This is so dumb, Tsumu. This is a new low for you, really. And that’s countin’ the time ya left the back door open at the restaurant and let raccoons inta the kitchen. I shoulda eaten ya in the womb. Miya Atsumu, simpin’ for a man he’s never met.” The companion (brother? Twin?) says.
Kiyoomi hears the neighbor, Atsumu, squawk indignantly.
“First of all, that was an accident,” Atsumu whispers, although in his agitation, he isn’t really whispering all that quietly. “Second of all, this is not dumb! He said he liked my drawin’, Samu! And the other day, I overheard him listenin’ to Cigarettes After Sex when I walked past his door— I’ve gotta be friends with him!”
or: kiyoomi leaves a sticky note on his neighbor's door for a perfectly valid reason, and all of a sudden he's friends with his neighbor, except instead of doing normal friend things, they communicate exclusively through sticky notes.
