Summary
Red was the colour of the lilies that grew around a remote village deep within the inhospitable island, the only beauty among the rare inhabitants of these salty, barren lands. Kazuha's father, the tribe's priest, often told the legend of their origin during rites. Once, at a time of great need for the tribe, the Sown God descended upon these lands. Wherever he stepped, sharp stones cut into his feet, drawing blood. And where the blood soaked into the soil, beautiful red lilies grew. Seeing this, the tribe's very first priest committed the original sin.

Summary
“Tired of dreamless rest? Want to escape into a world of your creation every night? With Dream Weavers, the revolutionary neuro-sync microchip, you can now craft vivid, lifelike dreams. You decide the story! Live out your wildest fantasies!”
The man on the screen conspiratorially winked into the camera, and Kazuha thought his smile was sinister as he spoke:
“Warning: Some users report experiencing difficulty distinguishing between dreams and reality after prolonged use. Side effects may include euphoria, existential wonder, and an unwillingness to wake up. “
In a future world, humanity is stricken with a condition that results in the absence of dreams. It all changed when the Raiden Group introduced the Dream Weavers. But this dreamlike utopia wasn't meant to endure.
Kaedehara Kazuha is haunted by the mysterious death of his investigation partner a year ago, who sent him a cryptic message before passing in his sleep. Peace is shattered when new suspicious deaths arise, and the heir of the Raiden Group asks for his help. As he delves deeper into the case, Kazuha understands that he wishes he'd never become involved at all.

Summary
The rusty water dripping from the faucet hit the tile indifferently. He could swear he heard a ‘told you so’ amidst the measured plopping. The plumber’s services were not in their planned expenses. The mere thought of living off Kazuha’s rapidly diminishing finances made him feel pathetic. Useless.
Kazuha had never complained, though. Water flowing upwards was a more realistic scenario than Kazuha unravelling and addressing his worries verbally – this foolish, stubborn man. His man. The corners of Kunikuzushi’s lips twitched at the thought before pulling into a frown. The strongest trees in the forest would always fall with the loudest crack.

If one were to ask the citizens of Mondstadt about Dahlia, they would come up with a plethora of complimentary epithets. Pious. Well-read. Insightful. The deacon who could offer solace to an aching soul with a couple of cleverly chosen words that he’d put together eloquently. Dahlia was an image of what a proper servant of the church should represent. And if one were to say it to Dahlia himself, the deacon would only smile, crinkling his eyes, and shrug silently.
For Dahlia knew he was a greedy, starving, miserable man.
___
The deacon yearns for a taste of divinity.

When the deacon withdrew, nothing remained but a lingering ghost of a touch. Venti smiled, cupping Dahlia’s chin with his index finger and thumb. He lifted the deacon’s head gently, holding their gaze locked together.
Under his radiant eyes, Dahlia felt sanctified.

Dahlia helps Venti prepare for the ceremony. Some blasphemous thoughts occur.

The stage lights are cooking Scaramouche alive.
He’s sweating like a pig, but Kazuha once said it adds to the performance and he ‘looks good like that’—when the lights make his skin glisten, beads of sweat running tracks down his face—so it’s… excusable. As his fingers work the strings and frets of his guitar, his muscle memory kicks in, voice pouring out breathily against the mic as it’s meant to be.
As always, Kazuha is staring from his place onstage, boring holes into his back; Scaramouche doesn’t know whether or not he’s happy about that.

Scaramouche has no more memories to give, he cannot heal this universe. Hundreds of universes before this one received memories, but now he has no more. The only thing that Scaramouche can remember now are the hundreds of instances he met Kazuha, and he cannot let those go.
“But to say we don’t matter,” Scaramouche continues, “that isn’t true. In every single universe out there, you matter to me.”

Summary
It was tragic; how easily he could delude himself into thinking they were lovers, if not for the image of yellow roses that burned itself into his eyelids.
