The knocking on his front door startled Alex out of his moping. He suspected it was just Nora coming over with some crappy movie and ice cream to help cheer him up just as she did with June when they were younger and starting out in the dating scene. June had gone through a few tough breakups but Alex only remembers June’s breakup with Evan the clearest because it involved Nora coming over once a day for a month and a half. There was a lot of screaming and crying from June, comforting words, and average teenage relationship statistics from Nora, and confusion from Alex. June was the one to end it with Evan anyway.
Alex wasn’t going through a breakup though.
