Isobel looked down, her white gloves were stained dark crimson. The fabric was damp from the blood. Maggie’s white dress shirt and waistcoat was so bloodied it was nearly black, the fabric was slick with blood. She put pressure on the wound in a feeble attempt to stop the bleeding. It wasn’t working. Still supporting Maggie’s head with one arm she used her other to unbutton the waistcoat and the lower half of the shirt. The sight that greeted her eyes wasn't pretty.
