Xiaoting giggles, but by the expression on his face, it's not a joke.
“Uhm. Shouldn’t she be the one who writes it then?”
Yurina clears her throat. Xiaoting takes a deep breath, to keep herself in check before she explodes.
“I lack the lyrical genius it requires to form my thoughts and emotions into a song,” she says. “But I could really relate to your lyrics, that's why I personally asked for you.”
“That's…” Xiaoting swallows every single bitter word that arises in her mind. To please Mashiro, who stares at her with bulging eyes and clenched jaws, sugerating to just say something nice, she finally concludes, “Great.”

Chaeryeong kisses Ryujin like she means it. The smoke around them is scratching her throat, the limelight melting off her thick makeup. Yet. Chaeryeong's hair is soft under her fingertip, her mouth unrelenting against hers as they share a quick breath, her fingertips resting on her neck, cool and tender. And then it's over before Ryujin can whisper you know, I think I like you and Chaeryeong tears away, blazing like a shooting star, and sings with her lipstick smudged with the remainder of their kiss.

Forever,” 18-year-old Minjeong says over the cracking line, laughter hiding in her voice as she hears a dignified ‘hey!’ in the background. She laughs loudly, fondly, and present Minjeong can recall the memory immediately. Jimin, lazing around the bed while Minjeong was making all these cassettes, the warm orange light framing her face and making her eyes soft. Minjeong remembers looking at her and saying, “I think I can say that we are both incredibly lucky to have found each other so soon. Don’t miss me much, though, as I’ll always stay close to you, and I’ll always find my way back to you.”
The message is cut off suddenly, and Moon River starts playing. The daisies burn, the petals wither on her skin, and Minjeong lets it happen. She embraces the pain.
Minjeong learns about second chances when she returns home.

It’s not fair how the world seems to be taken with the girl who doesn’t even try. Jinsol fakes a smile, white teeth and blood-red lips to steal reluctant hearts, while Sooyoung kicks and shouts and still gets everything.
