Summary
“Ah.”
“‘Ah’,” Ilya repeats, giving him a look before he looks back to the tidily stacked frozen mouse packages in the freezer and makes a face as a little badly-hidden shudder moves through him. “Why the fuck do you have mice in your freezer, Shane? You are doing serial killer shit now? This is why you have cottage in the middle of nowhere? For serial killer things?”
“It’s for Spaghetti,” Shane says.
Ilya gives him an absolutely horrified look at that and turns a little green, which makes him remember that Spaghetti isn’t just his snake's name.
“Not food!” He rushes to explain. “Not food spaghetti! Snake Spaghetti!”
“What the fuck are you even saying right now,” Ilya says, looking honestly a little concerned that Shane might have something going wrong in his head.
(Distancing himself from almost twenty years of owning a snake, Shane can indeed see why this situation might be a little alarming for someone on the outside looking in.)
(It also clues him in to the fact that maybe it’s not just Spaghetti who should have gotten a little adjustment period.)
(in which i give shane allergies AND a snake)

Martin decides that if they aren’t going to be allowed an after-school queer club, they’re going to do the next best thing: a thinly veiled game club.
“Dungeons and Dragons,” Martin says, bright with excitement with the suggestion.

Summary
After Jon’s explained he is not, no matter how Martin asks, killing Oliver Banks unprovoked, and Martin’s gotten his sulk out his system, and they’re almost out the other side of the Corpse Routes, Jon asks, careful to keep the compulsion out his voice, “You do know why Oliver woke me up and you didn’t, right?”
Martin raises his eyebrows. “Uh, no? You’re the one who knows things.”

Summary
You are a living chronicle of terror.
The words repeat in Jon’s mind, circling around and around like the carousel spinning in the Stranger’s domain. He hasn’t tried to speak to Martin since the sky split open, after the all-consuming laugh that spilled from his lips. The statement torn from his mouth.
It might, perhaps, be better named: The Archive.
Jonathan Sims encounters a new difficulty after the apocalypse is summoned: He cannot create new words. He can only use those that have been given to the Archive.

Summary
The first thing he notices is the smell. A mouldy, encroaching damp, thick and cloying as it catches in his throat. It lingers there, festering in the trapped air behind his lips, seeping into his lungs. The years have not dimmed his memory; he knows it for what it is with a single breath. Rot. Decay. Corruption.
The second thing he notices is the cold. A bone-deep chill permeating the air around him that sends goose flesh erupting down his arms and a shudder running up his spine. There is a blanket wrapped tight around his body, but it does little to ease the cold. He pulls the blanket closer. It doesn’t help.
The third thing is the knock.
Or: Time Travel Fix-It #14238529435-7, but only Martin goes back.
