Summary
- There was something off in the way his brain functioned about Kuina Hikari, and it was for the first time in his life, the only foreign part of his mind to him. -
Friendship, and then romance is a far-too familiar game to Kuina who can barely stomach the thought anymore. For once, she's found someone who has no interest in her body, and yet, as time passes, she has to decide between giving into her body's needing, her heart's wanting, and her brain's fear. Chishiya's, of course, closed himself off completely to the concept, but there's something that draws him towards her, beyond a platonic bond, beyond a scientific fascination.
Kuina has to decide, again. Chishiya needs to learn, for the first time. Falling in love is a Hearts game in its own sense.
(AKA, the college AU where med student Chishiya and art student Kuina are partnered up in sculpting and grow to become partners in a different sense).

After Angel makes a seperate contract with a devil to return the time he stole from him at the fight with Reze, time freezes for the pair for exactly two months, without the normal consequences of touch and time. Maybe he did it to return the favor. Or maybe he did it because Aki was the first to ever touch him.
"Gently, palms turned upwards as if in worship, and slower than he’d ever moved in his life, Aki reached his hands out and, easing him into it ever so softly, brushed his fingers against the bottom of his jaw.

Summary
"I, Yamaguchi Tadashi, have confessed to Tsukishima Kei a total of twelve times in my life."
In which Yamaguchi has confessed to his childhood best friend twelve times (and counting) in their life, only to be ignored. It isn't until a victory in volleyball that he realizes that he actually wants *more.*
"I was too busy hating myself to consider that you didn’t. Because if you liked me, then I… I would’ve had to accept that I liked you too."
In which Tsukishima is too busy trying to ignore and invalidate his own feelings to even recognize Yamaguchi's confessions are genuine.
Neither of them thinks they are enough, or that they want each other in the same way they are wanted, and yet both of them are. Figuring that out takes more effort, it turns out, then any read block or jump float serve, but the ending that awaits both of them is well worth the (excessive) heartbreak.

There are unspoken rules to being with Yatosuke. 1. He decides when and where they get to be boyfriends or lovers, classmates or best friends. 2. Yatora doesn't.
And 3. He can touch Yatora, but Yatora can't touch him, or else he'll stop.
It takes accidentally getting drunk off coffee for Yatora to tell him how much that's messing with his head, and how much he actually needs Yatosuke.
(AKA, where Yatora's desperately touch-starved and overthinking, and Yotasuke just can't read people).

Resignation. Obanai has resigned himself to his plan of redemption (killing Muzan and then himself) and waiting for reincarnation to tell her he loves her, while Mitsuri has resigned herself to accept that Obanai does not want her the way she wants him.
(I wish I could tell her. I know there’s no point wishing such cruel, impossible, useless wishes, but just like I can’t help but try to survive, I can’t help but try to love. As long as I never act on it, we’ll be ok. We’ll both go our separate ways, and the boy who was meant to live and then die will never even have loved in the first place.)
