Summary
Lucerys whines softly. It’s a sound mostly meant for children, Lucerys has only used it a time or two with his younger brothers, but Aemond seems just as frail and vulnerable beneath him as one. Aemond does not respond like a child would. He does not respond at all.
When whining fails, Lucerys hisses at him instead. “Drink dammit.”

Summary
It is the following year that the news comes on a flutter of dark wings; Prince Lucerys Velaryon has flowered and with it their long engagement finally draws to a close. The Princess of Dragonstone and her brood will descend upon King’s Landing in a moon’s turn. There is to be a wedding.
So, it is settled then. Aemond will marry the boy who maimed him, will take him under his protection, bed him and whelp him to his good family’s satisfaction. He will have to follow him all the way back to the yawning maw of his childhood nightmares. He will have to shadow his husband in the halls that witnessed his spilled blood and swallow back the bitter ichor of justice denied.
And maybe then, it will finally be his turn.

But, sightings of Lucerys' dragon in the Stormlands has given Queen Rhaenyra hope. She sends out dragonriders to track him down and, by extension, find Lucerys and perhaps Aemond too. When Daemon finds Arrax and follows his trail, he finds a strange island and, on that island, he makes an incredible discovery.
