Steve could strangle him.
Because yes. The saffron does taste better. The saffron tastes so much better and the dish now makes Steve’s tastebuds soar and his eyes water and the only thing worse than admitting Eddie is correct right now, is admitting that that dish is miles fucking better since Eddie puts his hands on it.
And Steve finds himself wondering for a split fucking moment in between the rage he’s feeling, if everything is better with Eddie’s hands on it.

Summary
It's December 2001 and Steve feels younger than he’s felt in a long time. He stands there clutching the tickets in his hands like a lifeline, palms sweating like a teenager, awkward and nervous like he hasn’t been for a long time. And yet, when he looks at Eddie across the hall he feels young in an entirely different way, heart fluttering like a caged songbird that cannot be contained, every breath filling his lungs to the brim, making his skin tingle. He moves his hand to his pocket, checks it compulsively again and again, his hands tracing the outline of the small box like it’s supposed to calm his foolish heart.
Or: Eddie and Steve go to watch The Fellowship of the Ring. Unbeknownst to Eddie there will be another ring with significant importance showing up that day.

Summary

Summary
“We should have sex,” Steve blurts, and it almost sounds like a question. Eddie feels himself freeze, and his entire body flushes hot with equal parts terror and intrigue, because did Steve just say they should have sex? As in, together?
“Um,” Eddie manages. His brain is entirely off line, buzzing with frantic static and he begs his mouth to say something, anything, before Steve rescinds the offer.
