Out of the corner of his right eye, Kakashi caught another one, stepping out of the bushes. From the blind spot on his left, he could hear a fourth person approaching.
He squinted, focusing on the two in front of him, and immediately recognized their masks: Root shinobi.
“Did Danzō send you or is this a personal initiative?” He asked, his tone assertive, trying to sound more threatening than he felt. Which was not at all: he felt like he was one breath away from passing out due to chakra exhaustion.
