Summary
After escaping from the ill-fated Xuanwu night hunt in the asteroid belt circling the Wen-controlled planet Wangshu, Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang struggle to find a way to contact their home planets for help, not just for themselves, but for Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji who were left behind. Along the way, they get to see new sides of each other and find that their feelings for one another may have shifted.

Summary
“Maybe I can see why Mingjue was always trying to get us both down here,” Jin Guangyao admits, quiet. Something about the space beckons authenticity from him. He misses the way Huaisang flinches, but looks at him in time to see his smile.
“He’d be thrilled to see us together here,” Huaisang agrees, and that’s when Jin Guangyao’s lamplight catches on something behind him, low to the floor, yellowed and small.
His eyes go wide, face contorting with shock, and when Huaisang turns around to look, he screams, short and shrill, almost dropping the camera were it not for the neck strap.
