Techno would know, since he does it for a living.
It’s very easy to kill them, scare them, chase them, crush their brittle little bones when his rot overtakes their bodies. That doesn’t mean it’s any less annoying when one starts messing with his hunting grounds.
Technoblade huffed through his snout and lumbered through the woods in the direction where he felt another human trash. He didn’t have a lot of time, so he intended for this one to be a quick snack for fungi and his brothers. It would be easy.
His steps rattled the earth, he wasn’t trying to be stealthy this time. It didn’t apparently matter because the human was completely oblivious to anything happening around him.

“Whoa, whoa!” All three of them hold up their hands in surrender, their concerned faces deepening.
“You said you wanted a hug—?”
“I didn’t mean it!” He corrects himself, his voice uneven. “I didn’t know what you were talking about, but now I know it’s been a ruse the whole time.”
“Theo, have you never been hugged before?”

Wilbur looked up and gripped Tommy's hand harshly. Tommy looked up at him, his wings slightly shrinking. They were both filthy, covered in soot and ash and Wil already feared the preening session.
"You think we can…?"
"We have to," Wilbur choked out.
He raised his arm. The guards turned to them and soon one elbowed his way towards them.
"Magic, potions?"
"We have basics," Wilbur lied. They had basic herb knowledge but nowhere near to call themselves alchemists. "Healing salve for sure."

Wilbur froze, head slowly turning to face the person talking to him. He felt the air knock out of his lungs, his entire world stopping. Golden blond hair, a pair of baby blue eyes, a blinding bright smile.

Or, Wilbur reunites with his brother after years of not seeing him. Only issue is, the vampire saw said brother die right in front of him over two centuries ago.

Summary
“Are you really going to do this?” Wilbur asks again, but it wavers less than the first time, and there is something steely, something cold in the question. A threat in the delivery. “You’re going to try and stop me, now? Come save the day, like a hero should?”
Saving the day isn’t why Techno became a hero, but he’ll admit, in all the insufferable training he’s sat through, that sort of message did stick. Like glue to his fingers, or maybe gum on his shoe. He is a hero now. He’s meant to save people. Save the day.
“You’ve gone too far.” Techno mutters.
(Or, twinsduo superhero/supervillain au. Wilbur steps a little too far over the edge, and Techno follows.)

Tommy wailed in agony, the harsh impact and unforgiving cold against his back was a horrible pain he had not yet experienced. Even falling had not hurt this bad.
He cried and chattered for his sire to come for him, but there was only emptiness when he reached out.
“ Oh .”
The word was like a gentle breeze flowing through forest leaves— a sort of symphony in and of itself, reverent and gentle.
The fingers around his neck relaxed until Tommy could hardly feel them anymore. He still keened and whined his displeasure, his sensitive nerves pulsing shockwaves of pain throughout his entire body.
“Oh, hello,” The prey turned predator greeted gently. “I am sorry, little one. I did not mean to hurt you.”
Tommy cracked open a stinging eye to see blazing red ones and glittering fangs before him. It was a predator like him, but older. Much older.

In a world where everyone is assigned at least one soulmate, an unlucky few have a nemesis as well. There's no way to distinguish between the two and it's a fact that's already ruined Tommy's life. Having just escaped his nemesis, someone living a double life as the top supervillain, he's content to ignore the whole 'universe ordained bond' business for the rest of his life, fleeing the next people who leave their soulmarks on his hands.
