“This is Wooyoung, he’s my best friend.” San turns to Wooyoung, leaning in far closer than he would while sober and grabbing Wooyoung by the shoulders. They’re basically the same height so it’s oddly jarring to suddenly be so close, noses almost touching. “You know that, right?” San says seriously.

“Uh, yeah,” Wooyoung says. His tongue feels heavy, the words not quite slurred but not quite clear. The world has gone fuzzy around the edges, San’s face is the only thing in focus.

“My best friend. I love you so much, dude. Seriously. I love you, man. I love you.”

    Summary

Wooyoung connects the dots, his eyes making sense of the shapes in the darkness. There’s a boy huddled in the alleyway, curled as tight as he can get against a garbage can, his red rimmed eyes never leaving Wooyoung as he cowers. Wooyoung takes inventory of the pointed ears standing tall on his head, the long tail that swishes through the puddles on the concrete in warning, the midnight fur covering it and his ears that matches the hair dripping over his forehead. He’s a hybrid, and he’s soaking wet, trembling. Wooyoung turns and scans the street, but there’s not a soul in sight, just deserted sidewalks and pouring rain. He turns back to the hybrid.

“Are you okay?” His voice is drowned out by the storm, but the boy’s ear twitches regardless.

Only silence, green eyes, the sky crackling in white light, endless rain.

    Summary

Wooyoung tears into the letter, and he swears to God, his heart stopped. This is worse than a funeral invite.

    "My Wooyoungie,
Your dearest older brother is getting married at the end of December. We would like you home for the break, so you can help us set up the perfect wedding for him. It should only happen once a lifetime! And bring that boyfriend of yours, he'll be your plus one. We already started planning for the amount of people we will need, so no chickening out! Dongyoung wants to see who is keeping his little brother safe at college. Of course, we have fixed up your room for the two of you. Please come as soon as possible!"

Or: Wooyoung forgets to tell his family that he broke up with his boyfriend, and now he's expected to show up to his brother's wedding with a plus one. His only option is to beg Mingi, his roommate who he barely ever talks with, to be his fake-date to the wedding and spend a month with him and his family.

    Summary

“Wh…” Hongjoong gapes, speechless, as Jung turns back to him, smirking in a way Hongjoong has never seen before. Is that a dimple? It’s not cute. Hongjoong is going to punch him right in it. “Why the fuck did you do that?”

“You started it!” Jung snarls just like the adolescent child he so clearly is. His grin is sharp, with too many teeth. “What, you can dish it out, but you can’t take it?”

“You don’t know anything about what I can take,” Hongjoong bites back, and then he flushes as his own words register. Fuck he thinks, with feeling, as Jung blinks his big, round eyes and then there’s that toothy, predator’s grin, a fox in the hen house.
