Summary
Time is a concept, Scaramouche thinks. A man-made cataclysm for history to repeat and rhyme like some kind of poorly constructed poem. An endless loop of similarities. They say you can’t trick somebody who knows the game— and Scaramouche has gotten the bad ending too many times to count, but lord does he want another shot.
Scaramouche squints. Perhaps Childe was onto something when he said that Scaramouche gets unreasonably philosophical when someone attractive is around him.

Summary
It was quiet, almost eerily so. Aside from his own shallow, quiet breaths next to nothing resonated in the walls. At random intervals, he became aware of little bits of other sounds; of the quiet ticking of the clock on the wall, the subdued hum of the refrigerator the next room over; footsteps from the apartment above him, a car on the streets outside—but the sounds were never long, never persistent. As soon as a noise came, it went, leaving him alone in a manufactured, artificial silence. Sitting. Fiddling. Prying at it.
This was supposed to be comforting. This was supposed to relax him, make him feel like he understood, like he was in control. Instead, he felt like he couldn’t grasp anything at all.
After a set of intrusive thoughts, Anasui locks himself in the bathroom to calm down the only way he knows how.

Once the bewilderment (that might have been pure dismay) subsided, the blond arched an elegant eyebrow. Fuck, Guido was sure he was going to hear about it for hours tonight. There was no way Giorno was ever letting him live it down.
And it sure took a very long time (and a lot of the French pastries she had brought) for Trish to stop cackling like a maniac.
