There’s a short pause, and Yanqing is unsure whether Imbibitor Lunae is thinking or simply confused by the question, but when he finally responds, he says, “We fought by Scalegorge Waterscape. You’re Jing Yuan’s retainer, aren’t you?”
Yanqing’s heart sinks. “Yeah. I am.” He wants to declare that he’s also a lieutenant, that he’s a soldier in his own right, but shame trumps his pride and he stays quiet. He doesn’t even know if Imbibitor Lunae remembers his name, but before he can hold it back, he says, “My name is Yanqing.”
“My name is Dan Heng.”

The last flare of sunlight outside has faded into a spark at the horizon’s edge. Dusk, and the birds have come to roost—Yuuji can hear the clicking and fluttering, the gentle rhythm of their bodies as they settle under the awning outside his window. He stares out the dark glass as he attempts to calm himself, looking for a hint of foot or beak and finding nothing but the city.
It’s been one week since he fled Jujutsu Tech. Not a single person has come to drag him back.
Stripped of his cursed energy and wracked with guilt, Yuuji leaves Jujutsu Tech in the dead of night.

Maybe it was a ploy to convince the higher-ups he was dead, and he would resurface a few weeks later. Maybe it was a decoy body, and he had been taken elsewhere—anything but the idea that he was actually dead. He always seemed—and quite literally was—untouchable. But he ended up in her morgue for autopsy anyway. It was something they always joked about together, her getting to dissect him.
It was just a joke! She had wanted to scream. She never actually wanted this to come to pass. Maybe he was laughing at her from wherever he was now. He made good on his word, now she has to make good on hers.

A crossover sends Nakajima Atsushi crashing into Port Mafia's hey-day. He just needs to figure out what it is that Dazai-san wants, and from there try and keep this version of his mentor alive.

And Dazai knows exactly what the boy means and he can’t help but grin. His grin disregards the age of the ears listening. “So, you know what I’ve been wishing for all my life,” the mafioso answers darkly…
